In many places the conglomerate is cut by quartz veining in a zone 5 m wide, in which younger rusty quartz carbonated veins trend 020 degrees, and dipping sub-vertically.. Other associations with these veins are known to indicate pyrite, chalcopyrite, and gold. Grab samples taken from the area were reported to have contained 0.163 ounces of gold per ton. This resulted in the EM 15 anomaly trends of 050 degrees through where the gold occurrence is exposed, and may be tested by an angle hole collared down hill, and diamond drill towards the northwest. An attempt at further drilling the basement rocks should be made if any are to be discovered at the contact between the two flows. There is also a 6 m wide diabase dike that intrudes the Gowganda formation sedimentary rocks that trend 310 degrees through several claims.Other plans by the prospector were aimed at exploring the dike, and wall rocks at the dikes intersection with the projected extensions of the gold ore zones of the Matachewan Consolidated, and Young-Davidson Mines.
An option on the property within that time period was made by Pamour Porcupine Mines, Limited, in 1986. This resulted in placing two diamond drills at the claim that was aimed at testing possible ore zone extensions of the Matachewan Consolidated, and Young-Davidson Mines.
